Welcome to the First Southern Baptist Church of Beardstown website.  The First Southern Baptist Church is a member of the Sandy Creek Baptist Association, Illinois Baptist State Association, and the Southern Baptist Convention.  Our church mission has four goals which are based on the acrostic of our church name:  FSBC

1.  Faith Focused Foundation

FSBC provides our members and guests an opportunity to develop ttheir faith and Christtian lives through regular worship services, Bible studies, and prayer.

2.  Servants Sent to Share

FSBC encourages its members to share God's message of salvation to the lost, God's Word for the church to develop mature believers, and Christ's compassion for the members and community we serve.

3.  Bear One Another's Burdens

FSBC strives to develop caring and compassionate believers who are available to assist with and bear the burdens of families both in our church and in our community.

4.  Christ Centered Lives

The goal of FSBC of Beardstown is:  To develop Christians who are convinced of the truth of the Word of God, who will courageously stand as they go forward to fulfill the Great Commission daily in their lives.
